An update

March 20, 2020

Having not updated this website in 18 months, I feel like I should say a quick hello.

In the last couple of years, I:

  • Undertook 2 weeks of development on TWENTY ONE SIXTY FIVE at Q Theatre

  • Sang my face off in a development of Fangirls at Belvoir.

  • Participated in development programs with National Theatre of Parramatta, Kings Cross Theatre, and the Australian Film Television School

  • Shadowed some terrific directors in Sydney and London.

  • Worked as director/dramaturg on Sonal Moore's debut play, Ten Years to Home, at Riverside Theatres.

  • Started working at Contemporary Asian Australian Performance as their Administration Co-ordinator.

  • Presented short works and facilitated a BIPOC Artists Night as part of Kings Cross Theatre's Step Up Festival.

  • Became a Live/Work Tenant with Brand X and the City of Sydney and moved into a beautiful flat on William Street with a cohort of exciting Sydney artists.

  • Developed Lockout with the wonderful folks at Montague Basement, and presented a reading for KXTeethcutting.

  • Said some things at panels

  • Gained weight and am exploring my fatness daily

  • Made some strides on the vaginismus front

  • Made friends with the ocean

I'm also starting up The Joy Offensive again. It's something I've decided to invest in at this uncertain and devastating time. If you'd like to support our new ventures, head to our Patreon. It's going to be a small start, but keep your eyes peeled. I have no words of relief or advice. Please stay vigilant and organise (safely). Throw me a message from my contact page if you're in need of allies.
